Here are some random, but relevant statistics that I’ve collected the past week.
25% – The percentage of U.S. employers who have stopped matching their 401(k) plan participants’ contributions (source: Charles Schwab and CFO Research).
58% – The percentage of Americans in a recent Employee Benefit Research Institute poll that said they were either extremely or very satisfied with their health plan coverage. A mere 11% were not satisfied.
80% of respondents supported proposed reform that would prevent insurers from denying coverage to individuals based on their health status (source: Investment News)
60.8% – The percentage of American Taxpayer ownership of the ‘New GM’—valued between $63 Billion and $73 Billion (source: Reuters)
6.5% – The percentage of ALL mortgages in June that were more than 90 days past due—up from 4% in May (source: First American Core Logic).
